Sitaar Tah! (and Keiji Haino)

>> Wednesday, September 17, 2008

Sitaar-tah! is a japanese sitar ensemble, consisting of around 20-30 sitaar players with the aid of a throat singer. This stuff is just out of this world, all these sitars playing at the same time just sounds amazing, like swarm of locust, plus there's throat singing, which is in my opinion the coolest sound a human can make; I mean, you really can't go wrong here, plus on Animamima there's Keiji Haino doing his weird shit. Brilliant!!

Just thought I'd mention; the Animamima points to a Haino recording from 1992 called Affection. Not that I'm complaining, mind you but from the description I'd like to hear Animamima.
