Monstres par Excès - some new stuff

>> Thursday, March 31, 2011

Monstres par Excès is a label that sends us every now and then a few albums that they release. If I remember right they are situated in Italy but one of the members currently resides in China. So there are some Chinese albums here as well. Most of the stuff they put out is rather good.

Links are direct downloads.

Astral Vomit / Istituzioni Ambienti Naturalismo - Collapsar

Cosmic split. Splitted cosmos. Astral Vomit trascends distortion and shreds amplifiers for unrelenting ASCII wall noise (|||||||||). Istituzioni Ambienti Naturalismo goes kraut and authistic, droning synths and field recordings from Saturn. Two faces of a dying star, the light and the vomit.

Teratology - I

Teratology is a big band with no fixed members, meant to catch the sound of junk jazz with the help of Monstres par Excès family members. The more the better. This first installment was recorded in double stereo live take in October 2009, during the MPE Attack! festival, and features Junky from Torturing Nurse, Olaf Hochherz, 骏园, G. and 卖卖. We promise not to sound like this anymore: sinewy no-jazz themes de-deconstructed and stretched over bursts of trudging noisy guitars, backed by spastic drumming and topped by micro-laptop impulses.

DJ Kimchi ÷ DJ P江戸 - Concentrated Love / Concentrated Hate

These DJ's don't spin the shit you will expect, of course. Sped-up breakbeats flutter in a rotting magma of anime shrieks and delayed synths, turgid (!) basslines and random glitch-based drum machines, gritty live recorded interludes and a power electronic ending suite sure to appeal to your noise-craving appetite. It's thirty minutes of monkeys, hotkeys, broken pan knobs, wrong use of sequencers and a sincere despise for bpm synching, all dressed in cute smiles.

Cassa Ufficio Malattie Tropicali - Dolori

The annoying noise unit C.U.M.T. is back on full force in East Asia. Three outsiders (Dr. Dildo, Istituzioni Ambienti Naturalismo & LxVxTx) join their efforts to proudly present their take on autistic digital noise with unpop glitches, anime samples, deconstructed trumpet leads and fragmented rubbish spewing out from misused electronic devices, collapsing behind a Great Wall of Noise and coalescing into NintendoDS laden patterns and rotten Pachelbel's Canon. Recorded live at Monstres par Excès Attack in Shanghai, 18 October 2009.
