Internationally acclaimed sound artists Helmut Schäfer and Zbigniew Karkowski met for the first time in 1997. From then on, they maintained a close friendship and worked together on several collaborations, performances and music projects. Then years later, in April 2007, Helmut passed away. "Eminent Risk Factor" gathers recordings from the last 2 concerts and studio session they ever made together. The master was finished on the last day they ever saw each other. In memory of Helmut Schäfer (1969 - 2007).
Released through ALKU in 2008.
Our friends from the Monstres Par Exees label have sent us some new stuff. Actually, they sent it a month ago or so but my pretentious ass listened it two days ago. :S
First we have a split release by three artists: IOIOI, LxVxTx and Istituzioni Ambienti Naturalismo called Coeur Domestique.
Essue Dove is come from Canada. It sounds like "electronic ambient-but-not-quite-ambient music similar to stuff by Black Dice, Belong, Wet Hair, Astral Social Club and Fuck Buttons." The idea of this EP was to take a Phil Spector wall-of-sound pop production's soft buzz and try to apply that to decidedly non-pop song structures and styles. How does it sounds? Oh well it's ok, It's more on the musical side of things. It sounds soft for noise standards but it's relaxing so it's all good for me.

This is John Wiese's first release. It is a 7" limited to 500. I bought it for pretty cheap at a record store and it ended up having a hand written letter from John Wiese to Corydon of Sissy Spacek inside. Side A is harsh and side B is drone. Both are really good.
John Wiese and Oblivia collaborate with Ju Suk Reet Meate from Smegma on this 7". Really strange vinyl samples and amazing electronics. Both sides we're white labels and the same length so I had to guess which side was which.
|A||Spanish Satchel (4:44)|
A Cooling Thought (4:44)
Usually Astro does uh astro music. Feedback, laser sounds etc. which is why I find this split to be rather refreshing since he's a bit more violent here compared to his usual stuff. Family Battle Snake is uh, something along the line of Astro but more ambient and has a more creepy feeling to it.
|A1||Family Battle Snake||Mirrored Earth / Papaver Somniferum|
|A2||Family Battle Snake||Omega|
Here's something relaxing for a change. This is the tape rip from 2008 that was out on Hanson Records. It was reissued on cdr this year ho ho. Lovely drone noise sort of thing.
