Kylie Minoise - Fucking Loves You / Fucking Hates You

"With out doubt both of these disks are highlights of this years noise releases with Cummings
building clever, brutal and often atmospheric tracks through-out. Really both disks are must buys – even if you have only a passing interest in the noise genre."

Gorrión de Miga Records

Gorrión de Miga Records is an recently born Argentinian Netlabel. Judging by the albums which I got most of the bands have a space oriented theme. They all sound hm, pulsating I guess would be an proper use of phrase. Anyway, on with the albums!

Archive links but all albums are just one link so it should not be much trouble to upload it.

Uskuf Alagönia - Wöl Höraku
The first track is a bit weird, possibly the only track I didn't like on this album. The rest are rather good but the last track is excellent and it lasts 11 minutes which is great. It sound like an abandoned space ship somewhere in the middle of space, really gives that special atmosphere. An distorted guitar travels thorough the whole album which can sometimes get a bit out of control and sometimes even annoying but in some places it fits really great.

Tracklist:

01. Kötsadatasäpunata (5:57)
02. Apörinix (5:57)
03. Sömnux (5:56)
04. Ciyösseata (8:01)
05. Hösum (3:32)
06. Köwaiapisina Winöfköra (13:40)
07. Apaacix Haia Sa Waia Töxy (11:35)

Archives link.

Kalix Necralia - El Ensueño del Ciclope Subglacial

Hm well the description I got for this album was Polar Ambient - Noise. I always find it funny when artists try to invent unnecessary genres... Anyway, composed of long and brooding tracks this project tries to drive us into this post-apocalyptic world which is now frozen and relatively noisy. :D

Tracklist:

01. Carpóstodo Ascendente (10:38)
02. La Llegada De Los Ángeles (11:48)
03. El Ensueńo del Cíclope Su (13:34)
04. Un Llanto En Los Confines (3:32)
05. Los Heraldos Del Eon De H (15:44)

Archives link.

eRG

And lastly we have two albums from eRG. eRG is some kind of weird electronics and noise. Perhaps a bit too random at some points but there are interesting parts on both albums. Other then that it's an nice noisy trip with sound clips from old horror alien movies.

Tracklist:

The Goslings - Spaceheater / Perfect Interior

>> Monday, November 24, 2008

"Collecting the Goslings' first two small-run, CD-R EPs on one disc (in reverse order of release) for wider exposure via Crucial Blast, Spaceheater/Perfect Interior shows that the husband/wife team of Max and Leslie Soren can make shadowy, aggressive feedback noise with the best of them, in their own beautifully crumbly way. Roots in everything from the Dead C to Skullflower are obvious enough, while they're easily peers of many similarly inclined acts around the world -- white noise rises, falls and stops on a dime while percussion via gongs and scraps of singing weave in and out of hearing, and that's just Spaceheater's opening song "In May."

1 In May (12:59)
2 Statuette (4:56)
3 Lillian (4:11)
4 Summer For Spring (4:31)
5 Landing (5:37)

Prurient - The Black Post Society

[USA / 2008 / Cold Spring Records]

"The Black Post Society" embraces and accepts the depression of not having anything left to hunt. The mask without a face to hold. The depression of the hunter after the deer is killed. It is better to be hungry than to have eaten. As fantasy shatters under the whip of reality, erotic malaise settles in the nest of the mind inverting this dormant fuel to rekindle the endless cycle of sexual chaos.

Hijokaidan - Zouroku No Kibyou

>> Friday, November 21, 2008

Wow haven't seen such an ugly cover for some time now. Anyway, since the last Hijokaidan post seems to be rather popular I thought I should share this one as well. First of all this album is nothing like Sound Of The Sea. This one is more hm, instrumental? I guess you could call it like that, there's lots of instrument noise kinda like C.C.C.C. but doesn't have that flowing sound. Also, this was published two times once in 1981 and once in 2006. The 2006 release has extra two songs but I believe this is the 1981 since those two songs are missing.

Tracklist:

A1 Mantohihi (Osaka) (1:21)
A2 Takutaka (Kyoto) (6:06)
A3 Sozo Dojo (Osaka) (4:49)
A4 Shinjuku Loft (Tokyo) (8:39)

Satellite Clouds - Ascension of the golden torus

>> Thursday, November 20, 2008

Cute little rarity I got through email. It sounds something like Astro but a bit more energetic and less minimal. Released this year, currently their only release and it's limited to 40 copies. A taste of Swedish noise. :)

Side B The Scintillating Sunshine / Matter Turns To Shit (20:16)

ERG & MSBR & Das Synthetische Mischgewebe - Geosynclines

Material exchanged and remixed by ERG and MSBR. Final edits and composition by Das Synthetische Mischgewebe. I expected it to be a lot harsher since MSBR is in this all but it's actually quite calm and atmospheric. Anyway, not to bother you with my English any longer...

[USA / 2008 / Death Posture Ritualis / lim.100]

First live album by probably the best ritualistic dark ambient act today, recorded live in Salt Lake City last year, this live performance contains two tracks, probably my favorite BSoI sogns; The performance sounds so fucking powerful, there are vocals used, although it would be better to say invocations, dark ritualistic music at it’s best. I can only imagine how incredible the visual part of the show was.
This is released by the excellent Death Posture Ritualis label, everything is handmade, three versions exist all come in DVD packaging, one with a consecrated bone talisman, one with a consecrated red stone and the regular edition not containing either, needless to say, a joy to own! [UK / 2008 / Autumn Wind Productions / lim.1000]

"ABORTIONS" is the second cd release by EMIT, constructed by EMIT's doppelganger Unknown I. "ABORTIONS" consists of 16 tracks which make up over 63 minutes of dark ambient experiments...past compositions and newer passages of black ambience...harbingers of what will become of the presence they feel called EMIT.... This cd will lead you down the dark tunnels of abandoned temples filled with past rituals...dust covered hallways littered with the bones of fear. These are the lost relics and newly created moans of EMIT. The wind is warm on my skin....like the breath of a beast I cannot see...

"The majestic debut full length album from Sweden's Ondo. Intricate, textured doomed drone, blackened ambience and lush nocturnal electronica, delicately crafted into a dark cinematic vision. Hammemit - Spires Over The Burial Womb

[UK / 2008 / Total Holocaust Records]

"Here is the debut album from what is being described as the new phase for EMIT. HAMMEMIT is the new recording moniker for infamous UK black-noise/ambient figure U.I./Malachi, with additional members. Spires Over the Burial Womb continue the atmosphere found on some of the last (perhaps transitional) Emit recordings. Deeply mysterious with a heavy religious influence. Subtle ambience, a suitable soundtrack for complete isolation..."

Half Makeshift - Omen

>> Tuesday, November 4, 2008

[USA / 2008 / Profound Lore Records]

Working as one 50+ minute track, but separated into four parts, “Omen” (mastered beautifully by JAMES PLOTKIN) subtly shifts through different emotions and feelings that create a general overall mood for the entire picture; a mood that can be quite soothing and comforting, yet at the same time virulent and uneasy, and ultimately eerie and chilling. Through incredible use of melody via light guitar strums and guitar ambience, melded with waves of static bursts, ivory key tappings that create the build-up that will inevitably come in the form of massive drone rumblings, “Omen” is an observation within such a genre that will bring more awareness to the wonder that is (the now defunct) Half Makeshift.
